speaker Micro Procedural Game Audio with Pure Data

Advanced forms of real-time audio synthesis, effects and game audio AI are becoming more common as platforms become more powerful. Pure Data is an accessible way for game audio designers to harness the power of procedural audio in games using libPd, the Heavy compiler and other methods. Detailed examples of generative music, procedural sound design and custom DSP effects are demonstrated and shared in this presentation to show Pure Data can be used effectively in games.

No previous experience with visual scripting languages is required for this session. The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of why implementation systems such as Pure Data have a distinct advantage over most game audio middleware tools in terms of flexibility and expression. An example project with Unity will be demonstrated and made available for download.
